About the event
Linda Harper is the Chair and Co-Founder of the SenatorThelma Harper Transformative Foundation. Thefoundation was envisioned by her mother, the lateSenator Thelma Harper and Linda in 2019 after SenatorHarper's retirement. Linda launched the foundation in2021 to serve as a living legacy of her mom’s 40 yearsof community and public service. In 2022, Lindacontinued the tradition of her mom's annual "Kids AreSpecial Too" Easter Egg Hunt and in April of 2023, thisannual event will celebrate 38 years.
In addition to her foundation work, Linda is also theStrategic Community Engagement Liaison in theMayor’s office and a Business Consultant. Prior to hercurrent roles, Linda has 20+ years of managing end-to-end business improvement programs that turnedprogram scopes and deliverables into reality. She hasheld positions as Vice President of GovernmentServices, Director of Minority Outreach, ProjectManager, Sr. Consultant, and Industrial Engineer withinthe public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Her successin managing large-scale programs within North Americaand Internationally propelled her to become a sought-after subject matter expert. Linda began her career asan Industrial Engineer with UPS in Atlanta, GA aftergraduating from Georgia Tech and Spelman College.
Linda lives by the Harper family mantra "It Takes ACommunity". These days her main objective is to useher professional expertise to drive social good.
